Voting on the future name of the football club enters it’s final week, and fans are being urged to make sure that they’ve had their say on what the club should be called for the start of the 2018/19 season.
June 30th will be the last chance that fans get to cast votes, on whether or not the club should revert to Nuneaton Borough, a name last used nearly a decade ago. Following this period of consultation, should the numbers support it, an application will be made to the FA by the end of this year, and the new name, should it be approved, will be in place when we kick off the following season.
The Co-op’s own research showed incredible levels of support for this initiative, not only from within the fan base, but also the wider community, where the name Nuneaton Borough still carries far more significance. Therefore, we urge everyone voting to help us reach out across Nuneaton with the Boro name back in place.
