Simon Forsdick

As a former player for Nuneaton Town I had my most enjoyable time playing the game. For that reason alone I have elected to join the Co-operative board so that I can give something back directly to the supporters of the Boro.

I currently live in Stratford-upon-Avon and work within the Group Corporate Insurance division at NFU Mutual. I’m looking forward, and expect, to deliver the same success off the field with the Co-operative as I helped achieve on it.

My main ambitions are aligned to the skills and contacts that I bring to the board –

Firstly, to develop a membership for existing and former staff of the club to have the opportunity to sign up to so that the supporters and staff are able to show their joint ongoing commitment to the football club.

Secondly, to further strengthen the commercial acumen on the Board. My aims are to clearly define, and help deliver, the benefits of commercial membership of the Co-operative and to develop this part of the membership.

Finally, I want to see a football club that acts as the figurehead of great community life. In order to achieve this I will work with the Board and wider membership to deliver a football club that is owned by the fans for the benefit of Nuneaton and its community.
